Delicious Bang Bang Chicken Sliders

Description

These bang bang chicken sliders are incredibly crispy, sweet, and spicy. Perfect for parties or a fun weeknight meal!


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breast), cut into 1-1.5 inch pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt, plus more for seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp milk or water
  • 4 cups neutral oil (canola, vegetable, peanut) for frying
  • 12 brioche slider buns
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced, for garnish
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
  • For the Bang Bang Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tbsp Sriracha (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar (optional, for brightness)

Instructions

  • Prepare Chicken: Pat chicken pieces thoroughly dry. In a shallow dish, whisk together flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, 1 tsp salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk egg with milk/water. Dip each chicken piece in egg wash, then dredge fully in flour mixture, pressing to coat. Set on a wire rack.
  • Fry Chicken: Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pot to 350-375°F (175-190°C). Fry chicken in batches for 3-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (165°F/74°C internal temp). Remove to a wire rack, season with salt immediately.
  • Make Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, a pinch of salt, and optional rice vinegar until smooth. Adjust Sriracha and honey to taste.
  • Assemble Sliders: Lightly toast brioche slider buns if desired. Place a piece of crispy chicken on the bottom half of each bun. ডrizzle generously with Bang Bang sauce. Top with the other bun half. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot!
