- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 4 slices (about 4 oz) Monterey Jack or mild cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise (for spreading on bread)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (divided)
- 1/2 tsp onion powder (divided)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
