  • 23 tablespoons basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)
  • 12 slices provolone, mozzarella, or cheese of choice
  • Optional: Sliced tomato, lettuce, fresh spinach, roasted red peppers
  • Optional: Olive oil or butter for grilling/pressing

Instructions

  • Prepare Ingredients: Gather all your ingredients. If using cold chicken, gently warm it if desired. Slice any vegetables and cheese.
  • Toast Bread: Lightly toast your bread slices in a toaster, under a broiler, or in a dry pan until golden and slightly crisp.
  • Spread Pesto: Spread a generous layer of pesto on one side of each toasted bread slice.
