  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion or shallot
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: paprika, garlic powder, celery seed

Instructions

  • 1. Prep Cucumbers: Thinly slice cucumbers. Place in a colander, sprinkle with 1 tsp salt, and let sit for 20-30 minutes. Squeeze out excess water.
  • 2. Prepare Aromatics: Thinly slice red onion or shallot.
