Ingredients
- 8 oz (225g) High-Quality Dark or Milk Chocolate, finely chopped
- 1 cup (240ml) Heavy Cream (36% fat)
- 2 tbsp (28g) Unsalted Butter
- 1 lb (450g) Fresh Strawberries, hulled and sliced
- Optional: 1-2 tbsp Powdered Sugar (for ganache, to taste)
- Optional Garnishes: Cocoa powder, chopped pistachios, fresh mint, edible gold dust
Instructions
- Prep Strawberries: Wash and thoroughly dry strawberries. Hull and slice them as desired. Set aside.
- Make Ganache: Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Heat heavy cream and butter in a saucepan until just simmering. Pour hot cream over chocolate, let sit 5 minutes, then whisk gently from the center outwards until smooth and glossy. Stir in optional powdered sugar if using.
- Assemble Cups: Spoon a layer of warm ganache into serving cups. Arrange a layer of strawberry slices. Repeat layers, ending with ganache on top.
- Chill: Cover cups loosely and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until ganache is firm.
- Decorate & Serve: Garnish with fresh strawberries, nuts, cocoa powder, or other desired toppings just before serving.
