Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh asparagus, medium-thick stalks
- 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 tbsp)

- 1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground, or to taste
- 8–12 slices regular-cut bacon (about 1/2 lb)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash asparagus and snap off woody ends. Pat dry completely.
- In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper to form a paste.
- Divide asparagus into bundles of 3-4 stalks. Rub each bundle generously with the garlic paste.
- Wrap one slice of bacon tightly around each asparagus bundle, spiraling from one end to the other.
- Place bundles in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching.
