Description

Indulge in tender, seared steak and cheese-filled tortellini bathed in a rich, garlicky cream sauce. This dish is a comforting and satisfying meal perfect for any night of the week.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken or beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 19 oz fresh cheese tortellini
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prep Steak: Pat steak dry, cut into 1-inch cubes, and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Sear Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Build Sauce Base: Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the skillet. Sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in broth, scraping up browned bits, and bring to a simmer.
  • Cook Tortellini: In a separate pot, cook tortellini according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.
  • Combine: Reduce heat to low, stir heavy cream into the sauce. Add seared steak and drained tortellini to the pan. Stir in half of the Parmesan cheese.
  • Serve: Taste and adjust seasonings. Garnish with fresh parsley and remaining Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
