  • 4 fresh pineapple slices (½-inch thick)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for grilling pineapple)
  • 4 burger buns (brioche or potato recommended)
  • For the Glaze:
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare Chicken Patties: In a bowl, gently mix ground chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Form into four ¾-inch thick patties, making a slight indentation in the center.
  • 2. Grill Pineapple: Preheat grill to medium-high. Lightly brush pineapple slices with olive oil. Grill 2-3 minutes per side until grill marks appear and pineapple is caramelized. Set aside.
  • 3. Cook Chicken Burgers: Lightly oil grill grates. Place patties on grill and cook 5-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Add cheese during the last minute if desired.
