Celebrate Mardi Gras with these easy, no-bake King Cake Oreo Truffles! Creamy, spiced, and vibrantly decorated, they’re the perfect festive treat.
Ingredients
- 1 (14.3 oz) package Golden Oreo cookies
- 8 oz (1 block) full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 12 oz white chocolate or white candy melts
- Mardi Gras colored sugars (purple, green, gold) for decorating
Instructions
- Crush Cookies: Finely crush Golden Oreo cookies in a food processor until they resemble fine crumbs.
- Mix Filling: In a large bowl, combine crushed cookies, softened cream cheese, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and vanilla extract. Mix until just blended and a cohesive dough forms.
- Chill Dough: Cover and refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Roll Truffles: Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll into uniform balls.
- Chill Again: Place rolled truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill for another 15-20 minutes.
- Melt Coating: Melt white chocolate or candy melts using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Dip & Decorate: Dip each chilled truffle into the melted coating, allowing excess to drip off. Immediately sprinkle with Mardi Gras colored sugars. Let set completely.
- Serve: Enjoy chilled or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
