  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: About 24 truffles

Description

Celebrate Mardi Gras with these easy, no-bake King Cake Oreo Truffles! Creamy, spiced, and vibrantly decorated, they’re the perfect festive treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.3 oz) package Golden Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz (1 block) full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 12 oz white chocolate or white candy melts
  • Mardi Gras colored sugars (purple, green, gold) for decorating

Instructions

  • Crush Cookies: Finely crush Golden Oreo cookies in a food processor until they resemble fine crumbs.
  • Mix Filling: In a large bowl, combine crushed cookies, softened cream cheese, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and vanilla extract. Mix until just blended and a cohesive dough forms.
  • Chill Dough: Cover and refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Roll Truffles: Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll into uniform balls.
  • Chill Again: Place rolled truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill for another 15-20 minutes.
  • Melt Coating: Melt white chocolate or candy melts using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip & Decorate: Dip each chilled truffle into the melted coating, allowing excess to drip off. Immediately sprinkle with Mardi Gras colored sugars. Let set completely.
  • Serve: Enjoy chilled or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
