- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
- 4 split-top hot dog buns
- 1/2 cup honey mustard sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Optional: Butter or cooking spray for buns
- Optional: Salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder for homemade chicken tenders
Instructions
- 1. Cook Chicken Tenders: Prepare chicken tenders according to package directions or your preferred method (pan-fry, air-fry, or bake) until golden brown and cooked through.
- 2. Cook Bacon: Cook bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain excess fat on paper towels.
- 3. Prepare Buns & Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly butter or toast the insides of the hot dog buns, if desired.
- 4. Assemble Sandwiches: Place 1-2 cooked chicken tenders into each hot dog bun. Lay 2 pieces of crispy bacon over the chicken. Sprinkle about 1/4 cup of shredded cheese over the bacon and chicken.
- 5. Bake: Arrange assembled sandwiches on a baking sheet. Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the buns are warmed.
- 6. Sauce & Serve: Remove from oven. Open each sandwich and generously drizzle with honey mustard sauce. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
