Ingredients
- 2 large baking apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (or coconut oil)
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp brown sugar (packed)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- Pinch of ground ginger (optional)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat Oven & Prep Pan: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Apples: Peel, core, and slice apples into 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick ‘fry’ shapes.
- Coat Apples: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger (if using), vanilla extract (if using), and salt. Add apple slices and toss until evenly coated.
- Bake: Spread coated apple slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and golden brown.
- Cool & Serve: Transfer baked Apple Fries to a wire cooling rack immediately. Serve warm with your favorite dippers.
