- 10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and very well-drained
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 large egg, whisked with 1 tablespoon water or milk (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Thaw Pastry: Unroll thawed puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface or parchment paper.
- Prepare Filling: In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, well-drained spinach, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until smooth.
- Spread Filling: Evenly spread the spinach-cheese mixture over the puff pastry, leaving a 1/2-inch border on one long edge.

- Chill Log: Wrap the log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours) to firm up.
- Preheat Oven & Slice: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the chilled log into 1/2-inch thick rounds using a sharp knife.
- Arrange & Egg Wash: Place pinwheels cut-side up on the baking sheet, spacing them apart. Brush tops and sides with egg wash.
