Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups (180g) All-Purpose Flour
- ½ cup (100g) Granulated Sugar
- ¼ cup (50g) Light Brown Sugar, packed
- 1 ½ tsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Salt
- 2 large Eggs, room temperature
- ¾ cup (180ml) Whole Milk, room temperature
- ½ cup (113g) Unsalted Butter, melted and cooled (divided)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon (for batter)
- For the Coating:
- ½ cup (100g) Granulated Sugar
- 1 tbsp Ground Cinnamon
Instructions
- 1. Prepare Pan & Dry Ingredients: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, ½ cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and 1 tsp cinnamon.
- 2. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, ¼ cup (56g) melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- 3. Gently Fold & Bake: Pour wet ingredients into dry. Gently fold with a spatula until just combined (do not overmix). Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 45-55 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 4. Prepare & Coat: While bread is warm (5-10 mins out of oven), melt remaining ¼ cup (57g) butter. In a shallow dish, combine ½ cup granulated sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon. Brush warm bread with melted butter, then roll or sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar mixture. Cool slightly before slicing.
