Ingredients
- 1 sheet (14 oz) frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 (8-16 oz) wheel of brie cheese
- 2–4 tablespoons jam, preserves, or honey (fig, apricot, raspberry, or pepper jelly recommended)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds), optional
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon water or milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unfold thawed puff pastry onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Place brie wheel in the center of the pastry. Spread jam/honey and sprinkle nuts (if using) on top of the brie.
- Bring the edges of the puff pastry up and over the brie, completely enclosing it. Pinch seams firmly to seal.
- In a small bowl, whisk egg and water/milk for egg wash. Brush evenly over the entire pastry.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown and puffed.
- Let rest 5-10 minutes before serving with crackers, bread, or fruit.
