  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup pepper jelly (mild, medium, or hot)
  • 1 large egg, whisked with 1 tbsp water or milk (for egg wash)
  • Optional: Fresh chives or crushed nuts for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll thawed puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Cut into 12-16 equal squares.
  • In a small bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Place about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese in the center of each pastry square.
  • Fold two opposite corners of each square over the cream cheese and pinch to seal, or fold all four corners to the center and pinch.
