Ingredients
- 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
- 4 brioche buns
- 1/2 cup quality pizza sauce
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 slices low-moisture, part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: Thinly sliced onions or bell peppers
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly toast brioche buns.
- Cook patties in a skillet over medium-high heat until desired doneness.
- Spread pizza sauce on bottom bun halves. Place cooked patty on top.
- Layer provolone, mozzarella, and pepperoni (and optional toppings) on each patty.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for 1 minute for crispy pepperoni, if desired.
- Place top buns on and serve immediately.
