Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs (approx. 680g) cremini or white button mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed
- 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley or chives, chopped
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Prep Your Mushrooms: Gently wipe mushrooms clean with a damp paper towel. In a large bowl, toss mushrooms with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- 2. Grill for Flavor: Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Arrange mushrooms in a single layer and grill for 3-5 minutes per side, until charred and slightly softened. Remove and set aside.
- 3. Sauté with Aromatics: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add remaining 2 tbsp olive oil and butter. Once butter is melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
- 4. Finish with Herbs: Add grilled mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté for another 3-5 minutes, tossing to coat, until tender and infused with garlic butter. Remove from heat, stir in fresh herbs, and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve immediately.
