Description
These delightful kabobs combine fudgy brownie cubes, fresh strawberries, and toasted marshmallows for an irresistible dessert on a stick. Perfect for parties, they offer a symphony of textures and flavors in every bite.
Ingredients
- 1 box (18.3 oz) fudgy brownie mix (plus ingredients called for on box)
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
- 2 cups mini marshmallows (or regular marshmallows, cut in half)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for drizzle)
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream (for ganache, optional)
- 12–15 wooden skewers (6–8 inches long)
Instructions
- 1. Bake Brownies: Prepare and bake brownies according to package directions in an 8×8 or 9×9 inch pan. Allow to cool completely, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or overnight) for easier cutting. Cut into 1-inch cubes.
- 2. Prepare Strawberries: Wash and hull strawberries. If large, cut them in half or quarters to match the size of the brownie cubes. Pat dry thoroughly.
- 3. Toast Marshmallows (Optional): Using a kitchen torch or broiler, lightly toast marshmallows until golden brown and gooey. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
- 4. Assemble Kabobs: Thread ingredients onto wooden skewers, alternating between brownie cube, strawberry, and marshmallow. Repeat until the skewer is full, leaving a small space at each end.
- 5. Make Chocolate Drizzle: If making ganache, heat heavy cream until simmering, then pour over chocolate chips. Let sit for 5 minutes, then stir until smooth. Let cool slightly to thicken. Alternatively, melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- 6. Drizzle and Serve: Arrange assembled kabobs on a platter. Drizzle generously with chocolate ganache or melted chocolate just before serving. Serve immediately.
