Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground turkey (93/7 or 99/1 lean)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 cup broccoli florets, small
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups cooked long-grain white rice (e.g., jasmine or basmati)
- For garnish: sesame seeds, sliced green onions
Instructions
- Prepare Rice: Rinse rice and cook according to package directions. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
- Brown Turkey: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up, until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
- Sauté Aromatics & Veggies: Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add broccoli and carrots; cook for 3-5 minutes until crisp-tender.
